New Astrophoto: Comet C/2025 K1 (ATLAS)
A non-periodic comet, first spotted in May 2025.
While moving away from the Sun in November 2025, the comet disintegrated into several fragments, and fragments A+B+C may be ejected from the Solar System.
Observation Details
The image was captured on November 15, 2025, at the S. A. Kolobov Observatory using the following equipment:
- Telescope: ASTROSIB RC500
- Mount: ASTROSIB AVM-700
- Astrocamera: SBIG Aluma AC4040-Ultimate (C2)
Imaging Parameters
Filters used:
L 30×20″ R 5×20″ G 5×20″ B 5×20″
The total exposure time was 15 minutes.
