S. A. Kolobov Observatory Selected the Best 3D Developers
The final of the Regional Virtual and Augmented Reality Festival took place at the "Quantorium" Children's Technopark (Magnitogorsk). Out of 100 participants, the 27 strongest projects made it to the final. The main event for us was the defense of projects in the "PRO-3D" category, where young talents modeled our observatory.
"PRO-3D" Category: Task from the Observatory
The participants had to complete a complex technical task: to develop detailed 3D models of our Observatory in Blender. Our track gathered the largest number of participants and, accordingly, finalists (10 teams), and was highly praised by other partners.
"Some projects amazed us with their detailing and precision. We want to wish the kids not to stop at what they have achieved and to conquer new heights."

1st Place: Team "Arasaka"
Arseniy Litvinov and Denis Plotnikov (IT-CUBE.YUZHNOURALSK) unconditionally won over the jury with their project.

Silver and Outstanding Works
2nd place went to the "MGML Knights" team (Fedor Tuluchev, Ilya Belopolsky, "Quantorium" Children's Technopark, Magnitogorsk). Their atmospheric and detailed work also earned high marks from the experts.
3rd place was won by Stepan Zaitsev ("Quantorium").
We also want to specially mention the work of Team "Viarki". Although they didn't take a prize, they created an excellent and very creative 3D model of the observatory!
Awards and Recognition
In addition to our track, the festival successfully hosted defenses in the "AR-BATTLE" (partnered by the Magnitogorsk City Public Organization of Veterans of Afghanistan, Chechnya, and the Special Military Operation) and "VR-CHALLENGE" (partnered by BC "Metallurg") categories. All winners were awarded cups, commemorative medals, and gifts.
We presented prizes from the S. A. Kolobov Observatory to the winners, participants, and teachers, and also invited everyone on an excursion — so the kids could see with their own eyes what they had so realistically recreated in digital format.
For their active contribution to the educational process and project expertise, the staff of the S. A. Kolobov Observatory were awarded letters of appreciation by the organizers.
